Culinary Experiments : Refreshing Tarbooz Sharbat
TARBOOZ SHARBAT
With the pandemic impacting us heavily and with a lockdown in place - I will be putting up a series of easy to prepare recipes for those insane hunger pangs sitting at home.π
One of the natural sources of keeping you hydrated in the scorching summer other than water of course π - I enjoy eating the fruit as well as the sharbat. It is said to be very good for your heart health, skin & hair as well as for your digestion.
Enjoy this drink after a lazy lunch - sure to pack a punch. π₯ π
RECIPE WITH STEP BY STEP PICTURES:
Add all the ingredients in blender - and churn coarsely albeit making sure that the diced watermelon have been churned altogether.
Post the churn - transfer the contents into a bowl or jug - add the fresh lime juice - mix well and serve with/without ice cubes.
Garnish with mint leaves - I had dried mint leaves which I crushed and added a top.π
INGREDIENTS:
- Diced tarbooz aka watermelon π- remove the seeds
- 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
- 1/2 -1 teaspoon fresh lime juice (as per taste)
- 1/3 teaspoon black salt
- An inch of ginger
- Few mint leaves
