Culinary Experiments : Punjabi Lassi Recipe

PUNJABI LASSI

Come summers - and we are hunting ways to stay hydrated. 

If you have curd lying in your fridge, there is no better way than utilising it for a chilled glass of Lassi. 

RECIPE WITH STEP BY STEP PICTURES:

In a blender(or whisk it manually) add the above said ingredients and churn till you see a slight frothy and fine texture. I added whole saunf and cardamom - best is to use coarsely powdered ones so that it would mix well with the curd. 

Once churned - add the saffron infused milk into the mixture - mix well and serve.

One churn in the grinder - and you have this fabulous drink, taiyyar!! 😎

Garnish with sliced almonds, chopped pistas, kesar and thinly chopped coconut .

INGREDIENTS:

  • Curd - 3 cups
  • Sugar - 3 teaspoon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of saunf powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon of cardamom powder
  • Saffron soaked in 2 tablespoon of milk
  • Ice - 3 to 4 cubes
