Gluttony Events : Mainland China, Amanora - Pune

Mainland China is hosting a grand feasting with their launch of the Chinese New Year Menu - this year marking the year of the pig, marking the year of wealth and prosperity.💰

This specialized menu has been curated by Chef Rajesh Kumary Dubey.

The new menu tasting invite was extended by Sharvari from Milestone.

WHAT I TRIED:

I would say their hospitality was at par from the time we entered to the time we made an exit. A special mention of our server Aniket,who was kind enough to bear with my photo taking shenaginans and showing the right names of the dishes on their tab menu. Mr.Ujjwal was a good host, taking utmost care of the tables.

The KHIMCHI SALAD first to be put on the table.

I hit off with the EIGHT TREASURE VEGETABLE SOUP  - which was a composition of chopped carrots, celery, beans, mushrooms, corn, beans, spring onions. The rich and consistent creaminess of the soup with over the top addition of burnt garlic with the chilliness being in the right amount was impressive. This taste for a vegetable healthy soup - must try!😁

MATCHSTICK POTATOES WITH BLACK PEPPER AND TRUFFLE - these were extra crispy potato strips tossed with coarsely grounded black peppers and infused with truffle. The hints of pepper, the finely chopped ginger was bang on - specially the crispiness with the tinge of peppery taste.And my love for potatoes definitely grew 10x. 👍

CRACKLING SPINACH - kudos to this dish. Spinach,so finely chopped and deep fried with tiny miny sesame seeds - first of a kind for me. It was served in a edible tokri. The sweet after taste from my bites was something that I relished - it was melange of flavors when you first taste it, then the taste settles in and the after taste of course. 😝It was a revelation.

The EDMAME DUMPLINGS WITH TRUFFLE OIL - these were beautifully delicately crafted dumplings - keeping minute things into consideration.
The color combination - making a potli of the dumplings, tying it with a green edible veggie string with the finely chopped carrots on the top - made it an extremely pretty looking dish. The dash of violet on the top, was my my.😊
With a filling of smashed edamame pods, the gummed texture in the dish and the truffle oil - smitten.💓

The CRISPY COTTAGE CHEESE WITH SMOKED CHILIES - it was too high on smoked chilies for my taste buds - the cottage cheese strips were somehow getting lost in it.😏

For drinks I had the WATERMELON MOJITO - infused with fresh cut watermelon pieces with pudina - this was a refreshing drink.

The LEMONGRASS AND CHILI PRAWNS - crispy fried prawns tossed in tangy sweet sour sauce - nice. They could turn down the crispy-ness a notch for the prawns to be enjoyed more.

The WHEATGRASS NOODLES are my absolute favorite - the deep dried slightly burnt garlic atop with loads of good veggies like zucchini, broccoli,bell peppers - was pure love in every slurp. 😘

The VEGETABLE ROASTED GARLIC was okay-ish among-st all the dishes served on our table - but I must say it had good amount of exotic vegetables likes zucchini, lemon grass, garlic and others.

Every dish had a heavy usage of garlic.

The STICKY DATE PUDDING WITH TOFFEE SAUCE served with ice-cream on a cut pineapple was a perfect end to our so many hours long meal that we enjoyed here.
Loved the spongy-ness of the cake with the drizzle of the toffee sauce and sliced almonds. The overall combination of the taste was divine.😍Delectable.
