Food anatomization : Carnival, Mundhwa - Pune

Carnival, had been in the bookmarked list for almost a year now. And in a jiffy we made a plan to spend our evening here after chaotic time in office.

Across the busy road of Mundhwa, it is quite noticeable. As soon as you enter, you will see a huge parking lot with valet parking available.

They have recently renovated apparently, and the place has a good capacity to accommodate people of all genres.
They have a outside seating, plus they have few hut sort of arrangement where you can sit down on the gadis and relax - albeit limited in numbers.
For big groups they have a separate section added near the bar with longer tables.
They also have a section for families - a rooftop I believe.
Appreciable seating arrangement.

I must say impressive ambiance, majorly everything is woody textured.
The ambiance of the place has been done nicely - simple yet noticeable.
They have a beautiful bar with a large display of the various kinds of drinks.

They have a humongous menu - serving food from all kinds of cuisines. Bravo!
We ordered for two dishes out of the lot.
MURGH DUM POT - marinated pieces of chicken just cooked to the right amount with spices and herbs. The chicken was tender and juicy. It was served the way perfect biryanis are served in a clay pot and covered with a tandoori roti. This was first of its kind that I had tried. It was just brilliant. :)
Thanks to the manager for this suggestion, otherwise we would have never noticed the dish in the crowd of dishes in the menu. It had around 6-7 pieces approximately - served along with onions and green chutney to go with it.
For main course we went in for the CHICKEN STEAK SIZZLER - this I would say was not really up to the mark. After the starter, the sizzler dashed our risen expectations.
A little bland serving comparatively - with grilled chicken patti served along with buttered rice, some veggies like cauliflower, bell pepper, asparagus and potato wedges. There was a tangy spicy sauce spread atop the sizzler - but that also did not add much to the flavors.

Yet another visit to this place. This time we choose the inside seating. It had a quieter ambiance imparting a fine dining experience.

The dΓ©cor was fancy in here - the masks which were the center piece in the room, were kind of intriguing. The place was quite dim lighted, with just light flashing over your table. They had some splendid foodie one liners put up on the wall.
It housed around 9-10 tables oddly.

We order for the FISH CHILLY - fish cooked with garlic, chili and  colorful bell peppers - red, yellow and green. It tasted really yum - it was first of the kind for me, fish in this style of preparation.
The MURG BANJARA - was a standard kebab dish with luscious chicken cooked to perfection. And the spicy green chutney totally complemented the taste of the kebabs. :)

They play nice music and its a perfect setting to spend good time with friends or family.

And the staff is quite courteous and suggestive in choosing items from the menu.

Given a weekday, and the place being so occupied - talks it all. :)
