Wanderlust Tales : Dubai Diaries - Dubai Marina, Dubai

DAY 4

Time flies, and it was already our Day 4 here.

Having have to shell out most of the afternoons at the hotel due to the immense heat, evenings were the time to compensate for the lost time. Having heard and seen in numerous pictures of the Dubai Marina, this one was in my must visit places, and I ain't complaining. 😁

Dubai Marina is the most luxurious man made marina in the world. It is has a beautiful sight to offer in the evenings with the view of the dramatic Dubai skyline.

Just grab a seat at one of the many seating areas and marvel at this man made beauty.

There is nothing that Dubai doesn't have in its kitty.

There are no specific timings as such - but definitely the evening hours would be more suitable.

HOW TO GET HERE:
Dubai Marina is well connected through the Dubai Metro Lines. You would need to get down at the JBR Station 1. From the metro station - it is at a walking distance of about 600 m.

DUBAI MARINA:
With it also being an affluent residential area - I am extremely jealous of the folks who have made this beautiful place their home. It houses some of the most fascinating buildings and is also a sought after tourist location.

With a view like this - there is nothing one can complain about.

It has a lot many upscale yachts cruising through this largest man made marina, which is built along the 3 km stretch of the Persian Gulf shoreline.- to add there on either sides of the marina, dedicated walkways and eateries with lots to offer.  This is called the "The Walk" which is a 1.7 km stretch.

It attracts a lot many activities here ranging from street paintings, art displays and crafts.
You could also visit the Dubai Marina Mall nearby.

You will find a lot of cruises happening across this stretch - specially the Dhow cruise, offering dinner with a view as it meanders across the waterways.
Apart from that, there are regular Abra plying across the waterways every hour - which drops you to the other end of the marina, priced at about AED 5.

The one monument which eternalises the entire Dubai Marina is the glitering Masjid Al Rahim. It is the only mosque in the area and its architecture is skillful. The mosque is the Eid ka chnad to the entire area.

You can find lot many people indulging themselves in a variety of activities like runnig, jogging, photography and painting.
