Asia Kitchen,by Mainland China - is the result of revamping 'Mainland China',with an aim to create something similar to Gong for their patrons in DP Road.

The restaurant specializes in Pan Asian cuisine, presenting a widespread culture and cuisine of Asia - promising a revelation of taking connoisseurs and foodies through kitchen of Far East from Japan, Thailand, Indonesia,Malaysia, Burma ,Korea and China.

The preview invite was extended by Sharvari from Milestone.

The decor of the place has a touch of wood with lot of inscriptions on the wall in Chinese I believe - the decor is bright and vibrant.
They boost of a see through kitchen, where you can see the chefs working to bring the best on your table.
The five photos on the wall, say a lot.
The place can easily accommodate about 50-60 odd people.

Seated comfortably in one corner of the restaurant, we were addressed calm-ly about the preview dinner by Sumit and how the aesthetics have come into place here.
The lights over the table are the perfect addition for your Instagram worthy photos of the dishes. Till the time food was on our table, I had multiple photos clicked.πŸ˜‡


The SOYA PEANUTS were an interesting muncher - till the food was on our table.
Being the preview dinner night, there were lot of guests - and I must say the servers did an excellent job in attending tables and taking utmost care in case of any dealys.


WHAT I TRIED:

Started the preview dinner with the ORANGE CAPRIOSKA - a refreshing orange-y drink.
The ASIAN COTTAGE CHEESE TORTELLINI - the dish gets it name of course due to its shape. These delicate beauties dipped in a coconut based gravy with shredded cottage filling were plated beautifully on a coconut strip.
I am glad, this was the only coconut based dish - albeit I am not a fan of coconut based dishes, this one won definitely won in the taste genre.
Again plating is what Asia Kitchen left me aghast-ed completely. Just look at them, don't they just look like cute potlis and super fancy. With a filling of edamame with mashed potatoes - it had an essence of mustard oil. Utterly satisfying. πŸ’š
The ASPARAGUS TEMPURA - striking, how would one want to eat it.
Sushi for the vegetarians - sticky rice rolled over aubergines strip having a filling of range of veggies like cut avocado, little finger and crispy crumbling.
You got to take the whole piece at one go, to get immersed in the taste and get a kick of it. The sauce dressing over the top - mashallah. πŸ˜‹
SHIITAKE and CREEK CHEESE - another version of the tempura with a different filling of cheese and crispy crumble with asparagus garnishing and chef special sauce dressing,
The AVOCADO TACOS - God, did it remind me of the paani puri masala, hell yeah. It just drew me closer to my paani puri craving.
Pan Asian cuisine shelling out this taste - mind blown! 😈
The tacos had this slightly less thick filling of a mixture of jalapenos, spring onions - it was high on the tangy-ness, slight on the spicy-ness. It would leave you craving for more. A mix of spicy and tangy is the perfect blend for your taste buds - un-puttable. 😘
It was difficult to gorge on the entire dish at one go - I couldn't help but finish the filling with my spoon - probably they could lower the filling content to make it edible in pieces.
CRISPY LOTUS STEM - with a tempering of red chilies and curry leaves, this honey imbibed crispy fried lotus stem created a whirlpool of tastes from sweet to extreme hot by its last bite. With a garnishing of crushed ground pepper - it was savory. πŸ’“
Ah, the WHEAT NOODLES - for once I was not guilty of stuffing myself in a  tasting, because I had a feeling somewhere I was eating healthy stuff. And this one for sure was tasty, loved the handful of fried garlic over the top. It had stir fried exotic zucchini, bell peppers, spring onions. The fried garlic were the ultimate taste enhancer. 😊
WATERCHESNUTS,CORN AND POTATOES WITH ROASTED CHILI SAUCE - this was one dish failed to impress me in the plating.
But loved the flavors of the dish .
This and the wheat noodles were the perfect mains.
The SNICKER CAKE and the COCONUT DUMPLING platter looked ravishing as ever - the plating was on point.
Each dish on the plate added to the impact of the overall taste.
Starting with the glaze-y caramel spread on the plate to the coconut dumplings with a dash of date syrup. The dumplings were a version of very own desi modak.πŸ™
The SNICKER CAKE was melted coating of snickers over a soft delicious cake. It was garnished with loads of peanuts. There were various layers in the cake with a hint of dark chocolate.😍
Their plating is eye catchy and they add a lot of colorful vibe by their plating. There was heavy usage of asparagus is all their dishes.
