Gluttony Diaries : GrandMama's Cafe, Koregaon Park - Pune

Deemed as one of the most Instagrammable cafe's of Pune - after a no planner 31st night, we decided to start the new year 2019 from the cafe - good food, good pictures and good company. Lots of good-ness.💓

My idea of an old English home is all from my movie binging - and the warm floral wall paper interiors with the lacy feel were tuned to that image I had in my head. The white touch in the ambiance made it all the more lovable - cozy and just at home.

Maybe only a GrandMa was missing to fill you with her love and find the big cookie jars.😋

We had a table reserved - given the chilly winter evening we chose to sit inside. The place was heavily crowded given 31st night.😃

Prior to ordering we must have spent a good 15 minutes clicking pictures in the premises.

There is no one who wouldn't fall in love with their interiors.

The hot chocolate fever has gripped me hard and I first jumped to try out their GRANNY"S ORANGE CINNAMON COCOA from their exclusive hot chocolate menu - a pure warm comfort indulgence. The cinnamon and orange was a good addition to the hot chocolate - but I also did come to realize I like my hot chocolate plain. The slight bitter taste from the cocoa, the cream - it was partly Christmas served in a cup.🎄🎅

The TRASH CAN NACHOS - well you must name your dishes carefully just in case it would come close to living up to its name. These were most sought after among a lot of reviews that I read and the numerous videos that were doing the round.
Tortillas, beans, jalapenos, olives, bell peppers topped with loads of sour cream and the so-so salsa which could have been slightly spiced up were all plated inside a tin can. And soon the server would pull up the can to create a messed up version of crispy nachos in front of you - well attempted.

We went for the AGLIO OLIO SPHAGETTI - spaghetti tossed in a thick tomato sauce and garnished with Parmesan . With little additions of seasonings here and there - they were okay-ish. I did find the taste of garlic absolutely missing in  the spaghetti and slightly bland for  my taste buds.

The AVOCADO TOAST - the stellar dish of  the evening  - healthy and hearty mashed guacamole paste on a whole wheat crostini topped with chia seeds. Loved every bite of it.

The GRANDMAMA'S SPECIAL - thin pizza topped with good amount of cheese, bell peppers, olives , onions and sun dried tomatoes. This was good.

The service was extremely quick despite the crowd.
