Food anatomization : Taaza Thindi , Jayanagar - Bangalore

On our usual drive path along the Jayanagar streets - we saw this extra extra crowded place with people just pouring. It was this, that prompted us to stop and check what was it, that was drawing the crowd.
As we headed closer,my reaction was - OMG - the number of people hitting this place was just innumerable.

The place is situated right across the street, easily noticeable - if not check for the throng of people. ;) There is this tree just aside the eatery, and it definitely adds to decor - it acts as a shade for the sunny afternoons. They have constructed concrete fixtures around the tree, which also serves as a seating area. As such there is no dedicated seating facilities - like separate table chair arrangements. Once inside, you will notice the walls have horizontal extensions - slab sort of, where people can sit and have their food. And if you are lucky you can get a seat to enjoy your thindi. :P

The place is small, but appreciate their effort to be organised - the guard standing by, makes sure every customer follows the queue for purchasing the food coupons.
Of course, it has self service system.
Also I noticed that it had a board of Zomato -  and to my astonishment, the board stated it is the highest rated restaurant : 4.9. Wow!! In my stint of restaurant hopping, I have never seen a place boosting of a 4.9. Kudos!

They have a TV put up, displaying the health benefits of various food items. They boost of world class cleaning system, which they elaborately display on the screens.

The menu in place, is really limited with around 10 dishes up for grabs.

I can vouch that despite the horde, the place is extremely neat, well maintained and hygienic. The staff are dressed with head gears, gloves and masks over their face as well.
They sterilize the spoons and other cutlery items - it was all warm when we took it from the stands - which gives a satisfaction of cleanliness. :)

The staff is really well mannered.

There are separate counters for taking the dosa, idly-wada-bhaath and coffee.

We ordered for the idly, vada ,masala dosa and coffee. And the price was a shocker - I mean in comparison to the quality of the food being served and sanitation of the place, couldn't ask for more.
Rs.10 each for a idli and vada - amazing!
The dish is served in mini round thalis.
The IDLIES are really soft and go so well with the chutney. When we got out dish we asked for sambhar, sadly they didn't offer sambhar along. It was just the initial apprehension, but once we tasted the dish, we knew why they don't serve the sambhar. :)
The VADA was really crispy.
The MASALA DOSA was oily with the added dab of ghee on top. The filling was really tasty. But oily-ness is something needs to be worked on.
They also have a separate cart placed in the lobby, which serves extra chutney - in case you need.
The COFFEE is a must try here - the aroma and the taste, man  - a must have after your dish.

Parking is a difficulty since it is right across the street.

They are quite eco-friendly. They endorse non-use of plastics.

In case you need take-away,you need to carry your own containers.

By the end of evening by 9-ish the crowd subsides a bit.

Really a foodie's delight, without burning a hole in your pockets in a place like Bangalore! :)
Impressive!

Definitely my go to place.
