Food anatomization : Marz - o - rin, MG Road - Pune

Among the few legendary cafes of Pune - is located Marz - o - rin in the heart of M.G.Road with a roadside view.
It does have a fancy name, quite intriguing actually. I wonder what it means?!

It is right above Pasteur's, another favorite of mine for quick snacks.

I loved the decor of the place - quite quaint. A wooden staircase takes you to the restaurant and it houses about 20 or more odd tables.
The tables in the terrace are the best for one to enjoy your snacking - makes your time all the more charming. They also have spaced out seating arrangement inside.
It is those old charm buildings converted into this historic eat-out place.

The crowd the place pulls is amazing. Plus the crowd is mixed, just not limited to youngsters or college-goers, you will find various age-groups hitting the place.

Since Christmas had just ended - they had the Christmas tree and the other Christmas decorations up. It surely did make the place more lively.

The cafe has a self service system - hence you need to order in first and collect your food against the coupon.
They have a glass display of the wide variety of bakery items and other confectioneries.

The variety up for grabs is definitely massive.

Easy on the pocket I would say - but what I hear that they were even cheaper before. The serving is okay-ish for one  - but not for people with large appetite.

We ordered for the GRILL PANEER SANDWICH - two slices of brown bread with a tangy yet sweet taste - filling consisted of paneer and veggies. It did taste good - but for me it was way too much grilled.
And ridiculously they do charge for ketchup - Rs.5/- for a ultra chotu katori!
After having the sandwich we realized it wasn't actually needed - the sandwich did make up for it. But charging for ketchup is the first for me that too in a cafe. I know pizza hut charges for delivery. :P
Next we had the SPAGHETTI CHICKEN - spaghetti in red sauce with loaded diced cheese and minced chicken as toppings. And a few sliced capsicum pieces on top. It was baked pasta.Nice I would say.
Then we had the MACRONI CHICKEN - similar preparation to spaghetti chicken with loaded cheese, minced chicken and few sliced bell peppers on top. This one was quite an average dish for me.
The LIME&LEMONI drink was lemon flavoured drink with crushed ice. It had a typical flavor but was good enough to quench my thirst.

Happened to be here after a short trip to Parvati. Wow, the crowd was tremendous plus it was Easter evening. It was bustling with people - we had a hard time grabbing a table.
I had the KALA KHATTA CHILLER - totally phadu, crushed ice with flavours of kala khatta - tangy yet sweet. I could have multiple kala khatta's for the color of it. πŸ˜‹πŸ˜Œ
Next I had the CHICKEN ZOOM BURGER WITH CHEESE - plain brown burger, slathered with their speciality sauce, over which was the shredded chicken chunks plus veggies. An absolute delight - at first I did complain they did not grill it, but one bite in it - and I had to take my words back. Deliciously awesome. 😎

The place is really neat and well maintained.

And yes they do sell sugar free bakery items as well - all types of crowd well taken care of! :)

But I would conclude with saying it surely is over-rated but I shall definitely try more items from their menu.
