Destihl, a modern day gastro brewpub located along the by lanes of the beautiful Neil Street is a definite place to be at when you are in Champaign - and surprisingly to add, it has a buzzing crowd on a weekday too. 😮
The place is huge and can accommodate about 60-80 people in there.👀
The bar looked exotic with numerous displays overhead playing matches and not to forget the well stocked up bar. 😜
They have numerous displays placed across the restaurant, for one not to miss any match being played. Loved the subtle music being played - not too loud or not too low. 😀
You can see the brewery located right next to the bar.
Food is fabulous I would say and it wouldn't disappoint you a notch. 👌
Ordered for the SKILLET NACHOS with CHICKEN and oh boy - can nachos get any better?! 😍
It was an assortment of perfectly roasted chicken pieces, green Chile jalapenos sauce, abundance of cheddar cheese , pica De gelo and garnished with cilantro.
It was served in a unique fashion in an iron pan - layered nachos, cheese and toppings formed a heap - each pull was like unearthing the delicacy. The slightly burnt off edges of the nachos with the overload of cheese were perfect starters for the chilly winter. Yum!! 😋
PESTO and GOAT CHEESE PIZZA WITH CHICKEN - was a stone oven 10" pizza , crispy edges loaded with roma tomatoes , pesto sauce spread, goat cheese and the chicken chunks just put atop.
Now the pizza was without a doubt delicious but the chicken chunks were textured and brilliantly bold flavored - enhanced the taste.😝

Looked upscale yet the ambiance was quite basic - dim lighting - varied seating arrangement from chairs by the bar, pub seating and the diner seating.
