Gluttony Diaries : Ministry of food, Hilton - Domlur, Bangalore

We wanted to have a special celebration on the occasion of my Dad's birthday - after reading  numerous good reviews on Zomato about the Ministry of Food, we zeroed it down to this one.
At a distance of more than 20 km from where we stay - the travel was worth the time given the Bangalore traffic scenes.πŸ˜‹

ADDRESS:

100 Ft, Road. Embassy Golf Links Business Park
Domlur, Bengaluru

An elegant-quiet-well lit place absolutely befitting to spend some quality time with one's family. The restaurant was comparatively empty - apparently they draw a lot of crowd during their Sunday brunches.
A door-less restaurant - loved the hanging strips see through decor of the restaurant.
The menu is divided zonally - International/Kebab/Global/Italian. They have presented a variety in their menu .
After a quick tour of the property, we were seated comfortably in one corner of the restaurant - we blessed our taste buds with the first starter for the evening which was the ZAITUNI PANEER TIKKA - perfectly cooked in slow flame, soft paneer cubes done tenderly, with a filing of olive paste - a dish absolutely loved by the veggies in the table.
From the non vegetarians options, we didn't want to take any risks and dwell-ed straight for the CHICKEN TANDOORI - well marinated,flawless-ly tandoor-ed half chicken with sprinkle of spices. I totally fell in love with the preparation - simple flavors were brought out in its best avatar. I enjoyed and relished every bit of the chicken preparation - charring was done to the point.
For drinks, I ordered in for the refreshing CRANBERRY COOLER - a mix of apple and cranberry juices - having a sweet and sour mix in a sip.πŸ’˜
HYDERABADI SUBZ BIRYANI -  A bowl of goodness with long strands of Basmati rice with an assortment of seasonal vegetables having a perfect blend of the masalas - the caramelized onions atop, mint leaves, served with raita and a gravy - quintessential vegetable Biryani one can crave for.

Usually when we venture into star properties - I have noticed that the taste of the dishes are more to fit in with the global audience - so the chefs in an attempt to modernize, tweak the dishes here and there. But at the Ministry, I was impressed with each of the dishes gotten on the table, maintaining the heritage.πŸ‘

Service was little slow - but the servers made sure we celebrated at the fullest. Kudos to the hospitality!
