Gluttony Events : The Great Kebab Factory Radisson, Kharidi, Pune

The Great Kebab Factory - after a long time, has a restaurant impressed me with their high standard of flavors specifically in vegetarian genre. 😍

The restaurant as its name has aced itself, in serving one of the best vegetarian kebabs in the city.

Kebab - a legacy left behind by the Mughals is one of the most cherished dishes all over the country.

Consistency in taste is maintained in every dish - which is what set it apart from the rest.😊

Build a good appetite before hitting the restaurant - they are sure to make you want to overeat. 😝

The restaurant beats the idea of kebabs being taste worthy only if it is non vegetarian - I would say it takes a lot more perseverance to give vegetarian dishes a twist and concoct with them. True art!

ADDRESS:

Radisson Blu Hotel, Nagar Bypass Road
Kharadi, PUNE

WHAT I TRIED:

TGKF boosts of serving a wide variety of dishes which ensures they wouldn't need to repeat their dishes for over a year.

Believing in the concept of - from the kitchen to the table - the marinated kebabs are cooked to pan , right as the guests wait and is served up fresh.

The evening started off with the assortment of chutneys laid across on the table.
Then came the CORN AND KACHUMBER SALAD -  boiled corn served in the cute pressure cooker containers - we were in aww. Along with it were these shot glasses filled mast pani puri wala spicy jal with a papdi on top. 😁

Then was served the signature dish of TGKF - VEG GALOUTI - impressive is the only word I have for the dish. An amalgamation of flavors being imparted by the use of 87 spices - yes, you  heard it right - 87!!  Their secret spice is sent across from their Delhi branch, which is then used for the preparation of the kebabs.
These were served on mini parathas - scrumptious!
These melt in the mouth Kebabs had a good a mix of veggies - talking to the chef about the kebab, was when he told us the veggies that had been used in the kebab - I was left aghast how could such simple vegetables could bring out something so palatable.πŸ’™
PUMPKIN CHEESE KI TIKKI- the super crispy outer covering with pumpkin filing, mashallah!! 😘Kudos to their creativity - pumpkin tikki with cheese filing - served on a bed of crumbly stuff. This was un-puttable .
PANEER TIKKA - fresh soft paneer,tandoor-ed right - went perfect with the chutney. It had the perfect marination and a balance of spices.
PINEAPPPLE CHAT - pineapple is one of my favorite and to have it grilled was on point savory - the charring, the tangy-chili after taste = mind blown!πŸ’•
MARATHA EMPIRE - a TGKF factory special drink with an amazing mix of guava-chili served in a salted rim glass. On point, it went well with the kebabs.
TANDOORI ALOO - a simple baby potatoes dish grilled and tawa fried with spices - it had the similar taste from the aloo in the filing of samosa.
Oh, I loved how the edges had been tad bit burnt out .Well attempted!
KUBEDHA KEBAB - This was a chef's special, Iranian dish - loved by the firangs visiting India. With an exciting filing of bell peppers, spinach, olives and cheese in a wrap - the precise-ness of the dish was bang on. An absolute cracker! πŸ™
NASHILI DUM KI BROCOLLI - Now a days I find many restaurants experimenting with broccoli - given people are becoming health conscious. Although this was one had broccoli but there was cheese on the tandoor-ed broccoli. It was then sizzled through with a dash of rum. Very filing - I could not have more than 1 floret of it.

After such an elaborate starter on the menu - little space did I have for the mains. But still I did try the SUBZ BIRYANI with the DAL FACTORY. DAL FACTORY being another specialty from the restaurant - the dal makhani is apparently slow cooked for hours before being served - very satisfying.

Well, well can I really go back from any buffet with my dose of the desserts?! 😝

The desserts define the most crucial part of the buffet. The GAJAR KA HALWA was almost mom ke haath ke swaad ki yaad dilane wala - filled with mawa and tons of dry fruits. This was exceptionally made and I wish I could get some back home to relish on an empty stomach. This was absolutely chummes-wari!😚
LANGCHA - was langcha, lying in a pool of sweet chasni were these creations of chef - exemplary!

The MANGO FIRNI was good.
The KULFIS are a must have here, as per them.😊 The pan and mango kulfi didn't disappoint us - a great end to the food eating saga.

AMBIANCE:
A rustic factory setting ambiance with dim lighting, classy interiors - perfect for family dining. The old hindi instrumentals being played in the background adds a charm- ahhaha....

Special thanks to Mr.Akshit and Mr.Akshay who took good care of our table.
