Culinary Experiments : Paratha Series , The Healthy Bites - Methi Paratha Recipe

METHI PARATHA

With the pandemic impacting us heavily and with a lockdown in place - I will be putting up a series of easy to prepare recipes for those insane hunger pangs sitting at home.😎

Methi leaves are a winter delight, packed with loads of health benefits for fighting risks of heart diseases and a good source of fiber.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2-3 teaspoon oil
  • 2 Garlic Cloves finely chopped
  • Methi leaves finely chopped
  • 1 chili finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • Pinch of turmeric powder(optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pinch of asafoetida (optional)
  • Gram flour (optional) proportionate to the wheat flour

RECIPE:

Take a bowl add wheat flour and all the above mentioned ingredients. Mix well and kneed into a dough - the dough might be slightly sticky due to the water released from the methi leaves. Divide the dough into equal parts.



Dust some flour on the kitchen slab and roll it .
Place it on a heated pan - and cook in shudh desi ghee!! 😁


Enjoy with ghar ba bana achaar and aloo bhaja or a side dish of your choice.
