Food anatomization : In green, Magarpatta City - Pune

When mom says all vegetarian only - you have no option but to abide by her orders. Mom's word is the final say!!πŸ˜‰ After a tiresome number of restaurant-option handing game with her, we finally agreed on this all vegetarian dine in place - IN GREEN, as the name suggests too.

As you enter there is a classy feel to the place with the heavy patterned wooden door at the entrance to the chairs put up for the guests waiting in.The small alley that you need to pass through has the walls mounted with wooden enclosure with a number of open partitions. The partitions were beautifully adorned with various spices, herbs and seeds in the glass jars.Loved this part of the restaurant, tastefully done. Frankly this is the only place where a little effort had been taken to add to the decor of the place.

They have two seating arrangements - inner one which is mainly for the guests opting for buffet. They have the sofa seating there - looked chic.
But the buffet dishes were placed in the alley itself - kind of disrupting with the guests pouring in to seat themselves in the open. Nah!!
We choose to sit in the terrace in the open air. It had a casual seating structure - seated by the end we were in for a 180 degree view of Amanora and it's nearing places - scenic rooftop seating. Thankfully winters are a charm, wonder how summer would pass. All the walls are covered with green colored stretches throughout - it gives quite a grassy feeling and not to forget it screams you are IN GREEN all around!! πŸ˜‰ The place can accommodate  quite a crowd and I would say about 40-50 guests.
The counter at the entrance of the open seating was simplistically done and had few colorful bottles placed in wooden racks and had a television mounted - added minimalistically to the decor. The barren light fixtures hanging from the red colored iron rods in various symmetries gave more of a rough look to the place.

Hungry souls that we were - without much ado we placed the order for the main course directly. And I swear the wait time was immensely long, I could have done another round of shopping by this time.
The MUTTAR MUSHROOM CURRY tasted good BUT only till the time it was piping hot - there were abundant peas and mushrooms in the curry which is appreciable and it was also garnished with malai albeit it lacked flavours, tiny miny bit bland. But the ONION KULCHA was mind blowingly impeccable - loved every bite of the kulcha with loads of sesame seeds. Next was the HYDERABADI BIRYANI served with raita - with abundant greens, caramelised onions and coriander garnishing. It was spicy but I have had much better vegetarian biryani than what was served here - there was lack of the typical masala which is the actual jaan of the biryani. Not worth the price that is charged for it.

The crowd was minimal - Sunday and there were about 4 families for dining in the open terrace and few others inside for the buffet option.

The servers are well mannered, yet a little confused - placed a wrong dish on the table. Thankfully we had asked them not to serve the dish till we finished partly else it could have gotten chaotic.
