Food anatomization : Gordon Biersch, Leawood - Kansas

The first restaurant in Kansas that I started my food journey with. 😝 Gordon Biersch sounds almost something straight from a Harry Potter movie like located in the Diagon Alley. 😊
Gordon Biersch is a popular casual brewery restaurant chain here.

We were here at a team party. Located right amidst the roads in the Park Place, the place is thronged with people right from 1630-ish in the evening. I can't imagine such a crowd in India during these hours - credible!! The neighborhood looks quite classy, upscale - architecture and make such that it gives you feel of walking down on the roads of Europe.

The restaurant did not have a separate room for us, but just a section by the bar reserved for the folks of the team. The dishes were ordered prior - while making the reservation and were put on the display at a table in one corner.
Gordon Biersch has an alfresco seating which is just perfect by the sidewalk. The park plaza is one of the places, where you would definitely enjoy a walk. They have seating by the bar and also boost of the American diner table setup. The place can easily accommodate about 100 or more guests.
To keep up with the pub culture, there are a couple of wall hanging TV's placed around the restaurants - which are playing matches. The ambiance is quite bright and lively.

The vegetarian spread was limited yet good.
The MARGARITA FLATBREAD was fresh mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, and cilantro spread on a flatbread - actually a simple dish - yet did not quite work for me - okay-ish.
MARGARITA FLAT BREAD, VEGGIE PIZZA
The VEGGIE PIZZA was a cheesy bread base spread over with Italian cheese, marinara sauce with an overdose of spinach leaves and a good amount of tomatoes. The extra spinach annoyed the hell out of me! Thankfully the ITALIAN CHEESE PIZZA, sans the spinach leaves had a combination of mozzarella, Parmesan and Romano cheese spread on the base with marinara sauce as dressing and seasoned with herbs.A relief. πŸ˜•

The FRIES were an absolute delight, tossed in oil and seasoned with garlic and parsley - wow!!
They didn't have many options in mock-tails - but they were cool enough to prepare the needed drinks minus the alcohol.
The CRANBERRY JUICE WITH A MIX OF LIME JUICE was little offsetting - the lime juice couldn't do much justice to the cranberry juice but well attempted.

The STRAWBERRY VIRGIN MOJITO - was a refreshingly light drink - the taste enhancer was the slight hints of chili-smacked guava in every sip. Quirky, except the color - I really didn't find any traces of strawberry in the taste, but any who worked for me! 😈

Oh, yeah I forgot about the SOUTHWEST NACHOS - which was highly disappointing - maybe the reason it slipped my mind. The wanton chips were not even fried enough and had become soggy with all the cheese, sauce and black beans toppings - Nah!! You must not disappoint anyone in nachos the least - please!!!

The servers are darn sweet and adhere to your requests.
