Wanderlust Tales : Dubai Diaries - Dubai Mall

DAY 1

HOW TO GET HERE:

Wasting no time, we set off early morning from the Discovery Garden where we were put up to the Dubai Mall.

It took us about 30-45 minutes to reach Dubai Mall which stands at a distance of about 30 km or so.

Dubai is well connected - you will get taxis in a jiffy, they also have the metro buses and trains running which connects all the major points of Dubai . Quite impressive.

There is a direct metro train that runs from the Ibn Butata Metro Station to the Dubai Mall Metro Station.

But note to travel in the metro buses or trains, one needs to hold a metro card.

They do provide one day passes too for the tourists - we opted for the taxi to be our ride. 😇

DUBAI MALL

I did not imagine, even a day would not be enough to cover the mall, sounds cliche I know but - with its diverse range of shopping, dining and entertainment options, time just flies and it is truly a place like no other. 💖

Their official site provides a lot of insight about the mall by Emmar group:
It is located in heart of the prestigious Downtown Dubai known as the 'Center of now', the mall is one of the largest and most visited retail and entertainment destination.

They have plenty of help desks throughout plus you can get the brochures of the mall with a lot of details - which comes quite handy I must say.

The presence of a world-class aquarium in the mall with housing thousands of sea animals plus a walk through tunnel. Imagine?! 😍 The presence of the LED displays atop playing eye catchy graphic content, uff!! 😎

From aquariums to ice rinks to top class hotels to restaurants to theaters - Dubai Mall is a must visit. 😆

The fountain show is another added attraction which must not be missed at any cost.💜

Dubai Mall - truly a shopping haven with more than 1200 outlets, you name the brand and you would find the shop in here.

Mind you, to explore the mall - there is a lot of walking to be done.

You can shop, hog till you drop dead! 😂
