Gluttony Events : Levit8, NIBM - Pune

Levit 8 - has created a new buzz in the city with its beautiful rooftop open air setting. The name would keep many wondering with the meaning - it means levitating and mind you the last stretch of the road to reach the clover hills is actually levitating. πŸ’ƒ

ADDRESS:

Clover Hill Plaza, NIBM Road
PUNE

WHAT I TRIED:

The warm hospitality is worth a mention - our table was taken care by Mr. Himanshu & Mr. Nitu.😎

We hit off with the PANEER PARCELS paired with a glass of RUBY PASSION. The paneer parcels had two thick slices of well marinated paneer clubbed together with sauces - it was tandoor-ed right, soft melt in the mouth paneer cubes when clubbed with bell pepper made a good starter. But I just didn't get the name - since I didn't find any stuffing. Didn't justify the name but full marks for the taste.
The Ruby Passion was a refreshing drink for the Pune summer - the subtle yet overpowering taste of cranberry juice with orange juice and peach syrup was πŸ’‹.

ANDHRA ALOO - despite the preparation involved full tadka marke roasted super spicy baby potatoes with garnishings of grated coconut, curry leaves, green chili and onions. This one, I admit lacked the taste that  I expected of a south Indian starter - precisely the spices. 😐
CHIPOTLE MUSHROOMS - Oh boy, these were delicious. Served on a skewer the mushroom pieces had a stuffing of bhurji-ed paneer and had a coating of malai. Went so well with the dip. 😌
RED VELVET TIKKI - a dish which I had pinned high hopes on, let me down. πŸ˜‘The khoya stuffing beet root cutlets were high on salt and the spices - I still tried but nah, alas it could have made for a wonder dish.πŸ˜’
FLOW'S FLAWLESS PIZZA - full justice to the name, flawless - thin crust, super cheesy pizza loaded with veggies, sun dried tomatoes, olives , mushrooms and my first of having peas in a pizza.😝
Look at the cheeeeese! Season it and hog.
PAN FRIED NOODLES - Frankly I didn't expect the dish to be presented this way - but wow! Noodles dressed with chili oyster sauce gravy topped with exotic vegetables, and loads of spring onion and fried noodles - hot and tangy to the right amount.
The garlic-y taste on point - the dish on a whole was bang on.
Couldn't have asked for anything better.πŸ’“
The MUSHROOM TAWA PULAV is another must have if you are a mushroom lover - I haven't had such good preparation of tawa mushroom in ages.😍 The gravy was immensely well cooked with a perfect finish that complemented the mushrooms.
The simple spicy rice rice went quite well with it. The raita was super uber fresh. The masala papad was a failed attempt - had gone soggy by the time it reached the table.πŸ˜•

The CHOCOLATE BOWL - a layered dessert having mousse - chocolate brownie/fudge and yet again a layering of mouse with chocolate cream decoration. It was a rich dessert yet a ravishing finish to our dinner saga. 😍
The overall taste was not too sweet, yet balanced despite the heavy accompaniments.πŸ’•

We ate to our heart's content.

AMBIANCE:

Spread over a wide area - the restaurant has a sprawling seating capacity of over 100. The vibrant interiors, the bar, the seating arrangement, the groovy music make it just perfect for a lively evening - the soft breeze brushing against you is a bonus.
Sunsets would be worth viewing from here.πŸ’›
Being open air - it has high chair-tables setup and sofa seating.
There is a private party space as well.
The backdrop of the building makes the place look classy. LIT!!
Only make sure to use the lift that takes to LEVIT 8, or else you might have to cross 2 restaurants in the interim to reach here.
