Wanderlust Tales : Willis Tower, Chicago

In continuation of my Chicago wanderlust tales, which you can read about in the below posts:

If you want to witness the best panoramic and spectacular view of Chicago – the Windy City, you must visit the observation deck – The Sky deck at the Willis Tower on the 103rd floor of the building.

The adventurous part of the sky deck is the LEDGE: it is a glass-floored observation box which offers the view to die for – imagine standing on a glass structure at 1353 feet in the air and you can actually see the world beneath you, an absolutely gutsy thing to do.
You live by their tagline – Get out on the ledge: If you dare!!

The Willis Tower was known as the Sears Tower previously – was also once the tallest building in the world. It still reigns as the tallest building in the USA.
The place is bustling with people.
The lift that takes you to the 103rd floor is super-fast, taking you to the top in a span of less than 3-4 minutes. Jhuuup!

There is a fee of about 20-25$ for entry to the 103rd floor. There are a couple of shops on the 103rd floor selling souvenir items.

Few pictures from the visit:

Cheers to life!!
