Wanderlust tales : Road Trip to the city of Chicago , Illinois

Browsing through my old photographs from my visit to the United States, was a reminiscence of the wonderful time I had spent there, traveling and exploring the beauty of America. 😍

Hence from my archives, I bring to you an account of my trip to the city of Chicago.The encounter is a combination of a couple of trips from the city of Champaign where I was located for my business trip. 

It was a comfortable journey of 2.5 to 3 odd hours from Champaign over the beautifully structured long highways (I-57). Google maps are your best aid. 😇

There are plentiful eating outlets and rest areas on the way to and fro - which you could bring to your use.

The roads towards Chicago are pretty much farmlands - once a while you will notice few houses or stables here and there.

The roads in Chicago keep busy and I have heard you should be a pro driver to ride in here. 

Once you enter the city, you can park your car at the many of the parking lots available. The charges vary from 10$ to as much as 35$ - depending on the number of hours. We chose to park in the parking lot near to the Navy Pier.

Chicago is oozing with high rise buildings and massive classic skyscrapers. It is a beauty to see them from the way they are structured and placed.

We went to a street which just specialized in selling things procured from India, Pakistan. Just look at the street names. Profound right?! 😁

The Chicago Loop - is the central business point of Chicago.
