Kodak moments : First showers in Pune

The first showers hit Pune on the 12th of May - and wondrous was the feeling. The rain helped ease the sweltering heat. It poured for over an hour or so - a combination of heavy rains, thundering and lightning. Wohooo....

As usual, electricity was out - and standing in balcony was just the time to gaze at the rains splashes! Enjoying the first rains along with the fragrance it kindles - water touching the soil for the first time. It is such a definitive earthy fresh smell and an affirmative indication of the kick start to early monsoon! :)
