Food anatomization : Menchies, Koregaon Park - Pune
Menchie is the brand mascot of "Menchies" and a part of their image. It goes with a tag line of
"We make you smile".
It truly lives up to its tagline - from the time you enter the store which is located on the busy lanes of Koregaon Park, right opposite Murphies, to the time you are comfortably seated relishing your frozen yogurt - you SMILE! 😊
The good part of the store is, it has parking spot available for its guests. Quite a relief.
They have indoor seating and outdoor seating with sturdy plastic table-chair setup. The vibrant colors in shades of green and pink are eye catchy and also impart a feel good - happy factor to the ambiance. Brightly lighted and bustling with people even late in the night - surprisingly the place was crowded even post 12!
Having the frozen yogurt here is an experience in itself.
Totally, "It is my mix".
From the flavors to the toppings - everything is custom made by YOU,for YOU as per your preference and choice. And before you could jump to your choice of flavor, you can sample the them too.
You kick start with the Yogurt wall - which has varied flavors from the seasonal Mango, Cookies cream, Salted caramel,Litchi Sorbet to blue raspberry and about a couple more. The machines are arranged in a pair, where you can also opt for a swirl of the flavors.
Done with the yogurt and now time to move to the topping station. Here you can add your toppings ranging from choco chips, choco rice, choco balls,assorted dry fruits,blueberry balls,chocolate wafers,marsh mallows, Oreo dust, gems and few others.
Next range of toppings included the range of fresh cut fruits and bottles of a variety of sauces - which you could choose from.
Since, this was my first time - I did not give in much to my experimentation. I chose to go for the safer option - COOKIES & CREAM, topped with white and dark choco chips with choco rice sprinkled atop. Each bite was loaded with awesome-ness with perfect texture and was an explosion of the blasting flavors. I wouldn't deny, the chocolate overdose made it taste less of yogurt and more of a chocolate-y dessert. Anyhow I totally savored this stifling mix. Bang on!
The staff is really courteous - from guiding you with the options, to helping you with the servings.
The billing system is different - choose whatever you like - you are charged per the weight of the cup and the ingredients added.
