Food anatomization : Cafe Udupi Ruchi , JP Nagar - Bangalore
So from my last visit to Bangalore I was waiting to visit this place, and I finally made it this time. :)
First thing you would notice about the place is huge posters flaunting their breakfast menu - priced really low.
This cafe finds itself right above McD and is an easy place to spot.They have a parking spot, which is of great help!
Walk into the first floor of the building and you would find a big cafeteria. It houses more than 20 odd tables. As soon as you enter you would see them showcasing their products of various masalas and ready to eat mixes. And right across is the billing counter. They also have a wall - "Tasty Moments" for putting in your comments about your experience - which is filled with comments from the visitors!
They have self service system, bill for what you need and once your token is called out for - collect your food. The token number is displayed on a small digital monitor as well.
The place is really hygienic. The glasses of water are provided on the tables. But we had to ask repeatedly(almost 4-5 times) for a table to be cleaned - where we wished to sit.This was a turn off for me. Hence a 3.0. :(
The staff is also dressed in head gears and gloves - so otherwise the cleanliness is taken utmost care of.
The menu had quite a number of dishes and they had various combo options.They serve both South Indian dishes and some Northy snacks as well. Tthey even serve a healthy breakfast menu exquisitely consisting of oats idli,multigrain dosas etc.
So we were here for breakfast. We ordered for the super breakfast and a plate of rice idly.The super breakfast had couple of items - IDLI,PONGAL,UPMA,KESARI BHATH,BUTTER MASALA DOSA AND COFFEE/TEA.
The food was served in trays with multiple pockets. It was served beautifully. The quantity was good enough for single serving.The food in all was quite tasty. A good hearty South Indian breakfast to satiate your taste buds.The one dish that I disliked was the pongal. The coffee was awesome.We went for second cup of coffee as well. :)
The IDLY PLATE was good too.
And of course it is very light on the pocket Rs.45/- for the super breakfast.I hope it is not an introductory offer and this offer stays. :P
The staff is friendly and cordial.
In all a good place to visit for breakfast - at least the super breakfast.
