Wanderlust Tales : Pamban Beach Park , Rameswaram

As you near the Annai Indira Gandhi bridge, you see a stretch of a beautiful beach. The drive throughout is so pleasant as you notice the greenery on one side and the pure blue sea on the other.

The contrast to the eyes is refreshing. πŸ’™

RAMESWARAM DIARIES:

PAMBAN BEACH:

Since we wanted to make it to the Rameswaram temple early to avoid rush, we decided to pay the beach a visit on our way back from Rameswaram.
While driving back, we found the entrance - and saw it was the Pamban Beach Park.

There was an entry charge of Rs.5/- per person and Rs.5/- for four wheeler parking. A minimal charge unlike the other places in Rameswaram - relieved.
There is ample parking space.

The Pamban Beach Park  is a beautifully organized park overlooking the sea. You can see the clear jewel blue sea - highly serene and soothing. It just keeps you wanting for more. The water is cool and there are no high tides as such. The waves were ripping gently.
There are quite some rocks nearby, so be very careful not to slip through.

The beach is not as clean and sadly with each tide the water is throwing back dirt back to the land - to where it came from.

There is a play area for the kids with swings, round about, slides. As you enter there is a eye catchy structure with the fisherman and few sea animals to signify the park - sea horses, swan.
You will find the place with plentiful of families - having a gala time relaxing and playing in the water. There are quite a few hut like structures for relaxing.

You can enjoy few quick snacks from the shops in there.

A little more effort to maintain the place would be appreciated - after all they do charge to visit the place.

There is something about beaches - which calms you. As Robert Henri said:

Why do we love the sea?
It is because it has some potent power to make us think things we like to think!!

Cheers to life!!
