Hotel anatomization : Hilton Homewood Suites, Champaign
From the chain of the Hilton Hotels and Resorts is the Homewood Suites - just across the street from the University of Illinois.
The day I arrived - there was a baseball match and the entire place was decorated with the Illinois banner for cheering up the team.
The hotel has huge parking space, and as you enter you are welcomed with a warm reception. The lobby is beautifully decorated with a plush sofa, a fireplace and a eye catchy mirror adorning the wall - looks exquisite.
I had the suite booked for myself and I was quite happy with my suite.
The suite had separate living,dining and bedroom space. The room was spacious with the divided space for each area - ensuring the privacy in case you have guests. :)
The living room is fitted with a comfortable sofa, coffee table and the TV.
The kitchen is fully equipped with the silverware,plates and pots for cooking. They have provided with a humongous fridge to store all the food items. The kitchen as well has huge storing space for all the food items you need to store.
There is also small dining place with a table and 2 chairs for a comfortable meal.
The bedroom has the king size bed with side tables and table lamps and the wonder mattress.There is TV in the bedroom too.
You can enjoy the hot breakfast served in the hotel every morning. The servings range from the fruits, cornflakes ,waffles, breads, buns. donuts, coffee,juice which remain constant everyday to the four different kind of delicacies for the vegetarian and the non vegetarian. The cafeteria staff is very welcoming and friendly. Kudos!
After a long day, you can have a relaxing evening with their complimentary social evenings, allowing you to gorge on some delicacies and drinks from every Monday to Thursday only.
The place overlooking the dining space of the hotel has a cozy old fashioned fireplace outside with few sofas, tables and chair to relax by especially on a chilly evening by the fireplace - it is quite a time.
The hotel is equipped with an indoor pool and gymnasium on the ground floor.
Nearby there is a railway track running just across the street and it is a delight to the see the luggage carrier trains aka maal-gaadis running through the tracks on the dark nights - definitely these in the US is always a sight to watch out for. :)

The housekeeping cleans the room each day - if you want anything specific you could leave a note for them and they adhere to it. The staff is very accommodating and helping, yet they could put little more effort to ensure the cleanliness in the kitchen and its utensils.
Coffee/tea/hot chocolate and fresh fruits are available 24X7 in the dining area.The hotel also has a small inhouse store with DVDs,ice-creams, chocolates and some other stuff on sale.
Good part is you will find lot of places to eat nearby - you could choose to walk, but the chilly winters forgo you to do so.
I was here for about 4 weeks and I had a pleasant stay in all.
