Food anatomization : Barbeque Nation, JP Nagar - Bangalore

Barbeque Nation needs no introduction a pioneer in  the concept of live on the table grill - so it was my first visit to a barbeque nation in Bangalore and I was in total awe with the place - question is there anyone who isn't?! πŸ‘½

It was an impromptu plan and we just came to celebrate my homecoming. πŸ˜‰
I know this review comes at a very later month - I never knew I had missed on writing a review for the place. But I was quick to rectify the miss and got the ball rolling. 😈

So during the time I was here,it was the Waharabia Fest - the Arabian Food Festival.

The place was totally decor-ed to fit the theme - the dummy camel at the entrance to the ceiling decor with the colorful drapes to the lanterns and the Alif-Laila - Gennie murals on the walls . It was a archetypal shamiana feel dining in there, an effort well attempted.😊

Waharabia Fest was a food saga where you totally treat your taste buds with the enchanting flavors of the Arabian land.
From the JUJEH KEBAB - the succulent chicken chunks marinated in saffron and grilled to perfection to the RUBIAN MESHWI - the chargrilled prawns marinated with special Lebanese spices. There were quite a few vegetarian starters like the AFELIA BATATA, FALAFEL PITA POCKETS with chickpeas - but not my genre at least here in BBQ! πŸ˜‰

The place was flooded with live counters which had the KESABI DEJAJ,DABEL KEBAB,CHICKEN SHWARMA and CHICKEN SHISH TAWOOK. They were cooked in traditional Arabic style though the chicken shish tawook did not appeal my taste buds - was a let down.
The chicken shwarma was okay-ish.
The CHEESE BARRAH was served on table - plated beautifully on a wooden dish, loved the presentation. It had a small portion of FATTOUSH served which is more like a bread salad - well made.
The live counters were managed by the chefs tactfully - taking utmost care of what you would like in your dish and it would be served accordingly at your table.

After the plethora of starters - there was barely any room for main course so we jumped straight to the DESSERTS - my favorite genre as always!!

Desserts were full house from the exotic sweet delicacies like the BAKALAVA - a rich sweet pastry having layers of filo filled with chopped nuts and added honey - could have been done better, did not get the taste of the authentic one. Then there was the DATE PASTRY - wow!MUHALLABIEH - rich creamy thick milk pudding with rose petals and nuts.
The GAJAR KA HALWA and the luscious GULAB JAMUNS - fabulous as always. It was difficult to take my hands of these two - servings were just unending!
They had fruit servings for the conscious health freaks.

The staff was very welcoming and attentive to each of the tables. In spite of the crowd turning up, they had the knack of taking special care of their guests.
