Wanderlust tales : Kansas City Public Central Library, Downtown - Kansas

Next on my radar was the Central Libary. Walk about 0.3 miles to the nearest metro stop from Kauffman Center for Performing Arts - the same where you stopped/dropped off at the Center, from the KC streetcar.

HOW TO GET HERE:

On the Wyandotte at 16NB, take the streetcar tram to the Central Library. It is free of cost. To request a stop you need to pull the rope and they would stop accordingly - if you don't, they do not stop at each stop.
The streetcar drops you about 0.2 miles further from the library at 12th Between Baltimore and Main EB.
From the stop, you can easily use the Google maps to take you there. There is a Ride KC bus stop, which you can take as a bookmark, and walk ahead of it.

KANSAS CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY:

Walking on these streets is a charm - just observe the architecture of the buildings around.

The major attraction about the street around Central Library is the amazingly striking parking lot which has the street filled with huge cases of colorful books covers on the giant South wall of the library. Could there be a better innovative way than this?!

To top it, the books on display are any reader's delight and this structure is known as the "Community Bookshelf".

The books are about 25 feet high and nine feet wide, and display a range of books from the "lord of the rings","Romeo and Juliet","a tale of two cities" and many others. It showcases about 22 titles based on the interests of the readers of Kansas.

The streets are a charm to walk through, multi-storeyed buildings around are usually urban and have beautiful bold architecture.
