Food Tasting Event : OvenStory Pizza , Baner - Pune
Yet another tasting review, and this time too coordinated by Parvej but for OvenStory Pizza. 😃
I had pinned high hopes after the numerous positive reviews on Zomato - but I couldn't have been left more saddened.
The delivery was slightly late - but blame it on the heavy rains. 😑
Ordered in for the PERI PERI PICANTE with TANDOORI PANEER TOPPINGS. Peri Peri, the name itself promises heavy flavorful-ness and spicy-ness. The pizza was a thin crust 9-inch pizza with a combination of peri peri and mozzarella cheese base with pizza sauce spread.
The pizza was topped with, if not graciously with tandoor-ed paneer pieces, olives, onions and bell peppers - red, yellow and green.
Well, I was not really happy with the pizza - pizza is something that I easily like. But there was something seriously wrong with this pizza. It was over done which attributed to the taste of the sauce being all messed up. Plus the sides were baked damn crispy almost like a biscuit.
For me, this didn't qualify as a good pizza. 😨😧😩
The CHEESE CHILI TOAST was another disappointment - the cheese had totally gotten burnt - as you can see in the pictures too. No comments!
The only winner for the evening was the dessert - SICILIAN RED VELVET this fondant cake was heavenly - as you dig in the cake you can relish on the thick chocolate in it. Amazing! It was soft and was garnished heavenly with dry fruits.😋
