Wanderlust tales : The National World War 1 Liberty Memorial, Kansas

After my short rendezvous with the Country Club Plaza and window shopping and lunching, it was time for the next destination: The National World War 1 Liberty Memorial.

HOW TO GET HERE:

So, I took to the nearest metro stop right next to the Cheesecake Factory. The route that I took was as you can see below - a short drive of about 10-15 minutes.

The bus doesn't stop at every stop - but they do announce the bus stop name - so when you need to get down, prior to that you need to request to stop. All you need to do is pull the string across the window.

You stop at the 29th NB, and would need to walk approximately 0.5 miles - you can easily spot the National WW1 Memorial by now.

I did not have the time to pursue the museum - I just wanted to touch base.

GLIMPSE INTO THE HISTORY:

As per the sources from Google:
'After the world war 1 ended, Kansas City leaders formed the Liberty Memorial Association to create a lasting monument to the men and women who served in the war. It is a classical Egyptian Revival-style monument. It is managed by a non-profit organization here in Kansas.'
