Corporate Social Responsibility activity : Movie time with the kids from Teach For India, Magarpatta City - Pune
It is the Amdocs Good Deeds Month - which marks our commitment to empower children and youth in the community.
As a part of our contribution, our competency center took the kids from Teach For India whose community partner is Amdocs CSR - Blossom - for a movie "Lego Batman". The intention was to of course, do something good and spend some quality time with the wonderful kids.
This event was conducted at the Seasons Mall - Cinepolis.
The enthusiastic kids arrived from their school at Hadapsar and we could see how excited they were to see the movie. Greeting us with their sweet hellos as they passed by, I must say kids never fail to bring a smile on anyone's face. 💝
And I must appreciate the kids who were a disciplined lot. I was amazed - at how obediently they got themselves queued up outside the theater to being seated at the theater - swift. During the duration of the movie - the silent mumbles, giggles and the happiness while enjoying their share of popcorn and cold drinks said it all.
In all, it was a good event. It was highly satisfying to note the courtesy of the kids - each of them thanking us at any opportunity they got - the sweetness and innocence - absolute bliss!
One thing I liked was the dedication of the TFI teachers. I loved the attention the teachers gave to their students, the care they showed, the student-teacher relationship. Much appreciated!
I must make this a point that it was accomplishing to see the teacher and student duo interact in English - fluently and with confidence! Kudos...
Activities like these, where you interact with these kids give you an ability and a sense of being rooted, humble and content.
Seeing someone smile is heartening in itself.
TIME is all that you need to spare!
