Food anatomization : Brahmin Tiffins & Coffee , Jayanagar - Bangalore

Too hyped I would say - recently we stumbled on this place for quick snacks after the numerous praises and high ratings.

Lying right across the busy streets of Jayanagar, it is easily noticeable with the crowd you would spot. Parking could be a pain - you would need to park in some of the bylanes and walk over till there.

Located on the first floor of the building, the place looks pretty average. It holds about 5-6 tables and they have extended slabs from the wall for comfortable seating. It gets really hot with the crowd bustling in and comparatively the wall mounted fans are of not much help.

It boasts of a budget menu and it has a self-service system. You bill for what you eat and can collect it instantaneously from the kitchen counter right across the billing counter.

We ordered in for the IDLY - really super soft idly served with spicy coconut chutney. Nice.
The VADAS were a delight - super crispy exteriors and super soft interiors plus an added advantage of it being non-oily. Really lip smacking.

The KESARIBHATH was sweet with flavors of orange flowing in and best it was cooked in pure ghee. :)

The KHARABHATH - I tried it for the first time in Bangalore. It was a balance of spicy and tangy-ness from the chopped tomatoes, served with the spicy coconut chutney. It was served piping hot and was delicious - something different from the regular dishes.
However, they do not serve sambhar with any of the dishes.

The coffee was just perfectly brewed and mixed with the right amount of milk - strong!

The staff keeps cleaning the tables and collecting the dishes regularly. But for reasons unknown the place does not seem too well kept and maintained and so does the staff.

The place does get very crowded.
