Wanderlust Tales : Prati balaji, Ketkawle - Pune
Prati Balaji is the replica of the Tirupati Balaji - "Prati" itself signifies that! π
The temple is built on an area of 10 acres of land. Barren land surrounded by the rusty mountains and standing tall in between is the serene structure - total bliss! π
We happened to visit Baneswar prior to the temple, a slight miscalculation on our part - but the Prati Balaji temple falls before the Baneshwar temple.
So you can visit the temple prior to your visit to Baneshwar.
The place is quite spread out and is a true replica of the Tirupati in terms of architecture and the sculptures.
The place is well maintained which is easily noticeable from the time you enter the premises - sparkling clean and lush greenery. π
There is a different vibe altogether.
As you step in the premises, there is a police check at the start. From here, it is a comparatively short walk than the one in Tirupati for your Darshan.
Truly, I have always disliked the commercialization of temples and the fact that you barely get 2-5 seconds for Darshan.
There was this extreme satisfaction, in being able to see the Lord and pray with my heart's content plus attain some inner peace - heavenly!
The continuous chant of the mantras, the chirping of the tiny birds flying freely inside the temple was a true definition of a good spiritual morning. π It was a breath of fresh pure air.
The make and the architecture is a true reminiscence of the temple in Tirupati. Happy me!!π
As the Maha-Pandits were performing the early morning rituals, we were sitting silently in the corridor in the presence of God, it truly felt so content - just at peace and the Darshan sinking in. π
The ceiling of the temple had beautiful depictions of the avatars of the God with the added attraction of the beautiful hanging chandeliers. π
The temple is an architecture-ly sound place - with vibrant colorful hand paintings and carvings done on the temple walls.
There is a sense of flow and a rhythm in the surrounding.
As you leave the temple - you get prasadam of dahi bhaat.
There are three to four eatery joints where you can enjoy quick breakfast/snacks. We ventured to the Balaji Snacks, pure vegetarian place.
The place can accommodate about 50 people or so - with open shade seating, it is a self-service joint.
We ordered a couple of items. I thoroughly enjoyed the idlis submerged in delicious spicy sambhar - satiated my hunger.
To note - they sell chilled items above the MRP.
To make the most of the visit, make sure to visit the temple in the wee hours of the morning. π
