Food anatomization : Hyderabadi Biryani House, Hadapsar - Pune
To and fro Hadapsar, we had been noticing this place, but never got a chance to visit. It was always we would try it the next time. 😆
On a fine weekday post work around 930-ish, we decided to hit this place.
The place lies just opposite of Noble Hospital - next to Bashree's. Easily noticeable, as it is located right across the street.
It is a two storeyed restaurant - the upper storey is AC seating, reserved for families and bigger groups. The place can easily accommodate about 80-100 people with about 20 or so tables placed in total. There is minimal effort on the decor of the place - with few wall hangings adorning the wall by the staircase and one on the ground floor. Pretty plain and the lighting of the restaurant is bright.
Without much ado - HYDERABADI SPECIAL CHICKEN BIRYANI, wow had such awesome hyderabadi biryani in Pune after ages. We have been trying biryani in quite some places now, but nothing seemed to satiate our taste buds. But this one has truly come to our rescue - and I can easily get it home delivered too. Yeay!! 😜 The biryani in layers of masala & chicken pieces and fresh long grained aromatic basmati rice in colors of white and yellow - spectacular. I requested for a leg piece in the biryani, and they quickly abided. Albeit a slight spicy yet this biryani is dil khush kar dita!Proper hyderabadi styled, mouth wateringly good. They serve raita and rassa along.

The VEG KADHAI - the taste of the gravy was balanced and was equally veggielicious and delicious.

The CHICKEN CHILLY - disappointed, the chicken chunks were rubbery. I mean how could someone kill a common dish like chicken chilly.

The PANEER CHILLY was okayish - the paneer was not at all fresh - the softness was missing.

The service is slightly slow. And the clinging of the utensils, my gaawd - that noise is really annoying. As you are having your dinner or trying to strike a conversation - why?!
There is a better way to clean up the used utensils. It was really irritating - amidst the pin drop silence, the clamouring of utensils. Arghh....
On checking the bill, we saw that they had charged us Rs.5/- extra over the MRP of the watered bottles. But once we talked to them, they obliged and eventually returned the extras over the MRP. No restaurant, no eatery joint is supposed to charge water above MRP.
